Small vehicle details can change while the overall photograph still looks plausible. Use a deliberate review order to catch specification errors that are easy to miss in a polished showroom image.
Open the original beside the result
Compare actual files rather than relying on memory or a small preview. Start with a view that shows the relevant components clearly. If the original is unreadable, do not infer that the edited detail must be correct because it looks sharp. Retake a clearer source or refer back to the vehicle before accepting a generated interpretation as listing evidence.
Read the wheels as a design
Check spoke pattern, centre cap, finish, tyre relationship and the near-to-far wheel proportions. Do not count only whether a wheel exists. A different but plausible wheel design can materially change the appearance of the stock. Compare condition marks too, especially where reflections or shadow make a polished surface look cleaner than the original.
Check badges and trim in context
Inspect grille shape, lighting units, roof equipment, mirrors and visible badges with the surrounding bodywork. A small badge may become unreadable or change shape without being obvious at gallery size. Use the stock record to identify the important distinctions for similar derivatives, but do not let that record justify a changed photograph. The image should remain faithful to the visible source.
Make the release decision specific
Record whether the failure is vehicle detail, scene integration or source quality. Request a repair where appropriate and recheck all critical details afterward. Reject an inaccurate result rather than exporting it as a temporary placeholder. A structured decision helps the next reviewer understand why a polished image did not meet the dealership’s accuracy standard.
Your dealer checklist.
- Use full-size original and edited files.
- Compare wheel design, finish and proportions.
- Inspect badges, lights and roof equipment.
- Check visible wear as well as specification.
- Reinspect the whole vehicle after a repair.
Common questions.
Can a correct stock description make an altered photo acceptable?
The description and images should agree with the actual vehicle. A correct text record is not a reason to publish misleading visual detail.
Is thumbnail review enough?
No. Use thumbnail review for presentation and full-size comparison for small vehicle details and visible condition.
